Rupert Cunningham is the Global Director of Growth and Membership Engagement at the International Legal Finance Association (ILFA). Previously, Rupert was Special Adviser to the UK Justice Secretary and Lord Chancellor, Alex Chalk KC. Rupert’s responsibilities included courts, sentencing, and legal services policy alongside all legislative matters, including helping to introduce legislation to support third party litigation funding in England and Wales. Prior to his job in Government, Rupert was a consultant, working across a range of sectors including financial and professional services, energy, and technology. He has experience of building and working with membership organizations and trade associations, both professionally as a consultant and at Middlesex University, and in a personal capacity in UK politics. He graduated from Oxford University in 2015 with a BA in Classics.
